Rufflecon 2015

In October 2015 was my first trip to America and I got to be a guest in an amazing alternative fashion event Rufflecon!
The event was great and I enjoyed my stay so much! The organisation stuff was so wonderful and my fairy gothmother took very good care of me during the event! <3

The event concept is a little bit different from European ones as it is three days event and the program lasts till midnight. Everyone stays in the same hotel so it's basically just one big lolita party everywhere! :D I met so many fantastic lolitas there and many many new friends! I hope to meet you all again sometime! <3
If you get a chance I definitely recommend going to Rufflecon and I would absolutely love to go there again myself!

For the fashion show I had a very clear vision in my head and rather than making the focus on individual looks I concentrated on creating the correct atmosphere. I got inspired by Finnish nature, by the dark forests and cold winter nights, and shamanism.

I was also really impressed by the work of the make up artists, they really helped alot creating the looks! Thank you everyone! <3

For music I chose Ulla Pirttijärvi's beautiful joik Jaerrat Biekkas, it set the atmosphere perfectly!

La vie en Rose

Few weeks a go we attended one of the biggest lolita events in Europe; La vie en Rose by Street Fashion Europe and French Cafe!

We were happy to have a selling booth and showcase our new collection at the designers fashion show. The whole event was just amazing! The venue was super gorgeous hotel du Collectionneur, there was many Japanese special guests and the visitors themselves had put so much effort in their outfits! With so many unique outfits, this event was definitely the place to catch the most recent and upcoming lolita trends!

For me the best part was to see my wonderful lolita friends from different countries and meet other lolita creators and to make new friends! <3

I somehow managed to forget my camera to our apartment, but luckily other people took photos and gave permission to use them. :)

New collection: Moonlight Dance

Our new print collection is here and it is beautiful! :3 

Once again we collaborated with the amazing illustrator Minna Ainoa of Imagine and Do to create something spectacular! A print with moths, dragonflies, moons and other kinds of critters you don't typically see in lolita. 

Minna has a very unique soft touch in her pencil based illustrations, which in my opinion creates the perfect balance between these creepy critters and lolita fashion. The print is dream like, reminding us of summer nights, forests, spirits dancing around bonfire at the midsummer night...we wanted to give this collection a name that reminds us of those things and so we came up with Moonlight Dance.

The print comes in four colorways; pink, lavender, dark blue and dark red.

We decided to offer two kinds of jsk:s for this collection along with a skirt and a head bow. There is a high waist jsk with tulle lace that creates a softer look and a normal waist jsk for more sophisticated classic look. This time we also did another collaboration, wonderful Kuusade created matching jewelry for the new collection!

We wanted to give our customers the opportunity to ensure they can get the design and color in the size they need, so we opened the collection for reservations! 

The reservation period is open for two weeks, the last day for making a reservation is 15th of March.

If you wish to make a reservation check our facebook page  or storenvy for instructions, you don't have to have account for either of these sites, just send us an e-mail with your information, the type of dress, color and size you wish to reserve. This time we offer the dresses and skirts in 3 different sizes and we are happy to do custom sizing in case the offered sizes don't cater for your needs! Also for accessories, just drop us a line if you wish to have something different from the given options!

Heippa! Eli uusi printti mallisto on nyt ulkona! Printin on jälleen piirtänyt ihana Minna Ainoa, jonka kädenjälki on aina yhtä lumoavaa! Tällä kertaa hän loihti meille printin, jossa on sekalainen joukko hyönteisiä, kaloja ja kuutamo, printti tuo mieleen kesäyöt ja Juhannustaiat!

Suunnittelimme mallistoon tälläkertaa kaksi mekkoa, hameen sekä hiusrusetin. Lisäksi teemme myös yhteistyötä suomalaisen Kuusateen kanssa, joka suunnitteli printtiin sopivan upean korumalliston!

Kaikki tuotteet ovat nyt ennakkoon varattavissa Maaliskuun 15:sta päivään saakka. Varaamalla tuotteen ennakkoon saat varmasti haluamasi mallisen vaatteen haluamassasi värissä ja koossa. Mekot ja hameet ovat nyt tarjolla kolmessa koossa, mutta ennakkoon tilattuna myös mittatilaus on mahdollista! Valmiitakin mekkoja on siis myyntiin tulossa myöhemmin, mutta aivan kaikkia malleja kaikissa väreissä ja kokoisina ei ole tulossa, joten jos tiedät jo että haluat tietyn tuotteen se todellakin kannattaa ennakkoon tilata! Aluksi tarvitsee maksaa vain varausmaksu ja loppu summa maksetaan vasta sitten kun tuote on valmis, joten maksuaikaa on lähes pari kuukautta. :)

HelloCon 2014

Moi!

HelloCon 2014 was held 1st of February and ofcourse we had to participate! :3
I was also part of the organisation team so I can not tell much of the actual convention since I was just running around like crazy the whole day.

At the convention we had a stand and we took part to the designers fashion show.

The outfits we presented were inspired by reneissance. Knowing Midori Fukasawa would be modelling for us we really wanted to greate something different. Also we didn't want to use a print this time, so I came up with this design. For some of the materials we had to travel to Estonia and making the outfits took a lots of work but I think it was worth the time and effort?

Long lost but not forgotten.

Uups, it has taken forever since the last blogpost! We have started to blog more on our tumblr blog but we'll keep this blog anyway. Hopefully from now on there will be more detailed posts in this blog so you will get to know what's happening with Cloudberry Lady. If you want to get updated fast the best way is to like us on fb.

So last time I wrote of our collaboration with Imagine and Do andI'm pretty sure most of you have already seen the results but here's few pics anyway because they are so lovely. Thanks to Sanni for taking the photos!

 

The collection Adella, Arista and Aquata consists of two dresses and two skirts, it's already nearly sold out, probably enough fabric for one more dress. The print was designed by Minna Ainoa, the talented designer behind Imagine and Do for Cloudberry Lady. Since the print is so gorgeus and it was so popular we have already been thinking of re-release. What do you think?

The hats and shoes on the pics are also ours! I'm very broud of these new product lines we have been able to introduce this past year.

Cloudberry Lady took part to the fashion show at the event and we were very lucky to get such a sweet models. Emma made the shoes to match the outfits so for the first time we really had the head to toe coordinations with Cloudberry Lady items (well the stockings were models own).

 

The event was quite a fun and it was nice to have a trip to London! ^^ We have been a bit out of the international eye but now we have started to take steps to be part of the international lolita scene. I was a bit nervous to participate such a big event in such a big city (I come from a town with no public transportation! ^^'), but everyone were really sweet and I made a lots of new friends. I was also happy to meet some of the ladies we met last time in Paris and I was happy to hear they still remembered us. <3

 

 Since the event was so much fun we decided to take part to the Enchanted event which is just behind the corner now! Hopefully we'll meet some of you there!

 

Seems like we have been travelling a lot lately, since we also participated the Innocent World teaparty in Vienna! We were so lucky to get a stand at this event since when I firts heard of it all the stand were already reserved. Luckily for someone cancelled and we got the stand. :)

 

I have been in Vienna once before and this time I planned to make the trip to be also a small holiday. My youngest sister was very eager to join me which was nice since I don't get time to hang out with her because of the distance.

The event was nicely organised and I was really pleased with how everything went.

It has been a long time since I last visited Vienna, that time I was starting out as lolita, so it was great to refresh memories and to meet lots of lolitas! And I got change to hang out with some of the sweet girls I met in London. :D

There's so many things to write about and lately I have been extremely busy! Cloudberry Lady was one of the main sponcors of HelloCon and I was part of the organisation team so that's one of the things that has been taking some of the time this past year. I will write a post of it soon but still waiting for more pictures of our lovely fashion show models. ;)
I was certain there would be more time after the convention was over but on the contrary there's just more work than ever, definitely not a bad thing but I hope I can find some time to write here. There's some really exiting news coming up soon if everything goes well! Keep your thumbs up for us!^^

Oli kyllä ihan mielettömän mahtava päivä, ohjelma oli mainiota ja väkeä tuli paikalle yli odotusten!

HelLo con was a awesome event with lots of high quality program and I had a superp day!
 A lots of people showed up which made me really happy. Our fashion show went well and the event was very succesfull in every way! Also the Lolita Complex concert was great! <3

HelLo Con!

HelLo again!

"HelLoCon on lauantaina 23.2.2013 Kulttuuriareena Glorialla Helsingissä ensimmäistä kertaa järjestettävä tapahtuma japanilaisen lolita-katumuodin harrastajille ja siitä kiinnostuneille.

Ohjelmassa on mm. muotinäytöksiä, työpajoja sekä luentoja. Tapahtumasta löytyy sekä myyntipöytiä että kirpputorialue, ja paikalla on edustettuna useita kotimaisia indiebrändejä. Tule tekemään löytöjä!

 The first Helsinki lolita convention, HelLo con is nearly here! The event is on 23.2.2013 and it takes place in Gloria, Helsinki. You can get the tickets from here Tiketti

The band will have a concert after the event! :3

 Most of the program will be in Finnish,  but the numerous fashion shows and workshops suit to those who don’t know the language. Also the Q&A of Lolita Complex will be in english!

Lolita convention 2012 part II

Last summer we went to the lolita convention in Paris! First we were just planning to take a selling stand but the organizers asked if Cloudberry Lady could participate to the fashion show too.. ;)
